Sunday 19th April – Dunford Bridge walk

A sunny start to the day as we met at Railway Road car park in Stockport for Vince’s walk. We drove up to Dunford Bridge to meet those who had gone directly to the start and found it was a bit colder and misty! Never mind, 18 of us set off for the walk and as we went on the weather improved, turning into a warm sunny day. We enjoyed an 11 mile walk across the moors, well marked paths – well most of the time – some of the heather had been burnt since Vince rehearsed it so the path was less visible and we missed one turning. Luckily we realised before we went too far so it was easy to get back on track.
We had a pleasant pub stop towards the end of the walk, although it was tempting to go inside for a meal as it smelt good!

Thanks Vince
