Time for another weekday walk – it was a cold but sunny day when 6 of us set off from Geoff & Sue’s house at about 10. We walked through Romiley, across the golf course and UP the hill onto Werneth Low – these "old codger" walks are not always flat you know!!
We then walked along the Low to the Cenotaph, admiring the views across Ikea and to Manchester before turning into the shade and along to Windy Harbour for a view across to Kinder. We then walked alongside the road to the Hare and Hounds for a very nice pub lunch. But of course we soon had to leave the cosy warm pub for the return trip to Romiley, encountering a bit of mud en-route. Back down the other side of Werneth Low then to the golf course and back for a nice cup of tea and a gloat about the success of these weekday walks.
