On Sunday 16th the group braved sub zero temperatures to walk along the southern edge of Kinder Scout, although the walk was shorter in length than usual, this reflected the icy conditions, and short daylight hours. Steve, Colin Helen, Chris and Harvey left Edale station and ascended Ringing Roger, taking in Hartshorn, Grindsbrook, Crowden Tower, the Woolpacks and Noe Stool they arrived back at the cafe for a three thirty brew. We were also delayed slightly by the leaders ability to attract the attentions of most of the National Park rangers on duty, who he knew and hadn’t seen in 12 months, and who were aiming at their own rendezvous with mince pies, somewhere on our route.
